Hell yeah! Come Get Some is my pick of the month for October 2006!   I loved it!  In the first five minutes, you've got a chick in a cemetery, a disemboweling, a bunch of zombies feasting on corpses, rockin' heavy metal music and a zombie Elvis!  Shot in glorious black & white 16 mm film, this movie mixes Night of the Living Dead with Clerks to give us an entertaining zombie romp!

The story follows a bumbling zombie-killing government agent who teams up with four ass kicking chicks to stop the infestation of zombies in a small southern town.  The chicks are hot and their clothes are very rock & roll!  Their boots may have been made for walking, but they get used for kicking ass!  The soundtrack is provided by a bunch of old, burned out, sloppy rockers that sound like a southern fried Motorhead, which couldn't be more fitting for the movie.  In fact,  four of the bad guys look like they could be a Pantera tribute band.  

The movie could have used more skin, but it didn't need it to be entertaining.  The story does a good job of mixing humor with action and the characters actually have some "character".  Granted, this is no chick flick, dialog driven drama, but you do at least get a bit more personality from the lead character than the generic cardboard cut-out hero.

From what I can tell, the film didn't get much of a chance with any distribution and it's only available from the filmmakers directly, so I've put a link here to their website.  Apparently a sequel called Come Get Some More is due out sometime in 2007.  You can read more about it on the website.  If you are a fan of the old black and white horror movies of the 1960s and you have a sense of humor, give this movie a shot!
